Gases such as natural gas and metallurgical by-product gas contain inorganic sulfides such as H2S and SO2 and organic sulfides such as carbonyl sulfide, carbon disulfide, and methyl mercaptan. After these energy gases are burned and used, the sulfides are converted into gaseous SO2 form, which pollutes the environment and affects the quality of the product at the back end, such as steel rolling.


The UV fluorescence method for measuring total sulfur is a standard (ISO 20729) analytical method, which completely oxidizes different sulfide forms in the specimen to SO2 under oxygen-rich conditions and forms the excited state SO2 under the excitation of a UV light source. The UV fluorescence method has high sensitivity, a wide measurement range, good selectivity, and is not interfered with by other substances. Compared with the traditional total sulfur measurement technique, it has the advantage of greater ease of use by avoiding explosive gases such as hydrogen, high safety, and no consumables.

High Safety and Reliable

The analyzer is designed to meet the requirements of positive pressure and explosion protection. Air is used as the combustion gas, avoiding the use of pure oxygen as the combustion gas for sulfide oxidation conversion, significantly reducing the risk and cost of use.


High Measurement Accuracy

The analyzer takes all sulfur compounds through an oxygen-enriched combustion reaction and completely oxidizes them to SO2 with a 100% conversion rate, measuring the total sulfur content in a way that is closest to the actual conversion path of sulfides, with high fidelity and accuracy that is closest to the purpose of the measurement.


Fast Analyzing Speed

The analyzer adopts continuous injection, continuous conversion and continuous measurement, which can realize the output of measurement results in seconds. Compared with the traditional methods, the measurement speed is greatly accelerated so that the analyzer can not only be used for the slow measurement requirements of compliance testing but also meet the requirements of the process for fast measurement.
